AVS began in 2019 with a simple idea: that luxury on Phú Quốc did not have to mean marble lobbies and prices to match. It could mean a cool room after a warm day, a breakfast worth waking for, and a team who treat you like someone they were hoping would come back.
A hundred rooms, no two quite the same, each within a short barefoot walk of the water. It is small enough that we learn your name, and generous enough that you never feel you are being counted.
Most of our team grew up on this island. They know which beach is calm when the wind turns, where the best bún quậy is served after midnight, and how to make a family with a tired toddler feel instantly at home. That local knowledge is the thing we are proudest of — more than any view.
We run on solar where we can, filter and bottle our own drinking water to keep single-use plastic off the beach, and buy our fish from day boats in An Thới rather than trawlers. Our kitchen garden supplies the herbs, and what we can't grow we source from island farms.
Every stay contributes to a reef-cleaning programme run with local divers. It is not perfect, and we are still learning — but we would rather do the work than the marketing.
